Maturity

Something I enjoyed reading today:

"The difference between a mature human being and a child is that a child is always quite sure of how things ought to be. They are quite clear the way life must be, should be, has got to be, and if it isn't, they get very fussy.

A mature human being finally comes to the realization that quite a few things are just how they are. They can relax and function amidst life's imperfections without the need to be recognized or to condemn. Life is not perfect. Have you ever met the child who doesn't want the gold star? It is a child's perspective. In order to move through life and become mature, one realizes that what happens in life is that people are different. This realization is not just in terms of other people, but also ones self and life's events.

A mature human being can forgive people. They can accept that people have limitations, and they do what they can. A child can not. Children want things done according to their wishes. Because that's how they get their place in the world."

Sins of the father

In our society traditional male/female relationships often exhibit these patterns.

Obviously these are big generalizations. But there is a common thread in our society..

Male Female relationships often have the female looking for deeper emotional connection with the male holding distance.. getting buried in work/football etc. What is this all about ?

When kids arrive the mother will find a new emotionally devoted male in her son and use this as a surrogate male emotional relationship. This is not healthy but is often the case.

What this in turn does for the son is have him grow up with him thinking that women are providers of deep emotional support. Because his mum over coddled him, the man does not learn to be emotionally self sufficient, he has been emotionally castrated and he expects emotional guarantee in his relationships from weomen.

All of this stops a man being able to really risk his emotional feelings in a relationship. He is used to the female emotionally compensating for him and in fact being subservient in this respect.

I believe this is often why men can be subtly nasty to weomen in their power. In the work environment men can gang up on a women if this threat is apparent. The women starts reflecting the mans weakness and pain in this area. Unfortunately most women just oblige and compensate again to keep the status quo.

The pattern is set for the next generation.

This pattern also has a manifestation on the father daughter side.

The less emotionally available father will have the daughter reaching out for this connection. As the father does not just 'show up' the daughter can develop tactics to extract the attention.

(this can setup conflicts with the mother as the daughter can get better at this than the mother so the mum just gives up and gets it from the son as daughter extracts it from dad)

When the daughter gets to puberty. The daughters sexual energy turns on and is then directed at dad, dad is completely freaked out and is even less capable of providing any sort of useful mirror for his daughter. He is scared about being a pedophile, incapable and scared of going into how he feels, he is not able to allow, and reflect that his daughter is attractive to him.

This is the safe mirror she needs from an emotionaly mature father, but he cant hold it for her so she reaches out even more.

When he continues to run away, the daughter gives up and then goes out into the world looking to 'get' this from man in general.

Because she has not had the boundary set by dad she can become oversexualised toward men, reaching out tying to get connection though sex via a man.

Not grounded in the fact that she is a totally whole sexual being without having to have sex, getting sex has become the only way to get this identity. But it does not work.

No relationship will satify the needs.

In the end the only way to guarantee the need is to have a son and get the emotional/sexual energy from him..

And so the cycle continues.

The tapestry and the tao

Read this today and liked it:

"When the fabric of our relationships is spun of openness, love and trust, then in the silence between words the tapestry is made complete"

I like to look as relationships as 'network' or 'graph' (as in node graph) phenomena, this is why people uses metaphors like 'web' and 'tapestry' to describe them.. (but really they are multidimensional networks not 2d webs or tapestries)

parties to a relationship are nodes in the network, and a network can experience complex fluxes through itself.

So to me this is talking about a natural order of relationship rather than an imposed forced structural one. The natural network, will support and allow the flux that is present by virtue of its parties, the parties to this will be happy. The forced network is imposed by a more external powerful influence, to achieve the flux dynamic the influence is after, this wont necessarily make the parties happy as it does not respect their individual nodal contributions.

The silence between words represents the unity flux of the network.. a unique expression of the network left to flow and balance its own tune.

This can not be predicted or controlled, but it can be felt by all who take part.

So the Tao could be described as the natural network flux of all relational things past present and future

From the Tao Te Ching:

"The tao that can be told
is not the eternal Tao.
The name that can be named
is not the eternal Name.

The unnamable is the eternally real.
Naming is the origin
of all particular things.

Free from desire, you realize the mystery.
Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations.

Yet mystery and manifestations
arise from the same source.
This source is called darkness.

Darkness within darkness.
The gateway to all understanding."

Rules..

Do you need rules to live by ?

I dont think so..

Rules are for robots of personality

A personality robot you makes choises from habit or because you are supposed to or because others expect it of you.

But a you you will just choose what makes you happy.

How else are you supposed to get beyond the illusory tangarine of this funny old world ?

So rules, shoulds and expectations are for the lost personality robot person.

Do you want to be you you or do you want to be a personality robot..

At least if you want to be you you.. there are no rules.. other than what makes you happy.

So you can be happy then..

If you want to be..

Start ignoring your rules..

security over love :(

Today i got a little sad because i realised something..

I realised that nearly everyone i know had made a choice, and that choice was nearly always the same one..

Everyone seems to chose security over love.. now dont get me wrong, i dont think this is a bad thing..

But it does make me feel a little sad.

Three Things

Three things that block our enlightenment

1. Attachment to our dramas.. we think we are our dramas, and get meaning from them.. we are not.. drop them and get on with the real thing.. discovering what on earth is you.

2. Attachment to logic.. Life is not logical.. is love logical.. and life is more based on love than logic.. at least if you don't want to be a robot..

3. Fear of the unknown.. You cant change if you fear the you that you have yet to discover.. you could be cooler than you think but you are never going to get there if you fear the next you and what that would do..

Oh

Oh so i seem to write these when i am in my head.. or sometimes i write these when i am in my heart, and i found something new in my head

Oh follow the heart say the wise and the wise

But what does that mean in this funny old world, this funny old world we find our selves meeting in..

The boy looked to the skies..

Well who really knows say the wise to the wise

I find myself thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking

When i should be beating and breathing and breathing.

But should means i am thinking and not really breathing.. but but but

I am all..

Breathing thinking and beating and knowing and not knowing and knowing again..

Oh

There is nothing to do then ?

Unless there is something to do.

Oh

But is it fun..

Or is it surely on the way to fun.. for you.. individually you..

Then there is something to do

Searching for God

If you want people to believe you.. you are looking for god

If you want people to need you.. you are searching for god

If you want people to believe in what you believe.. you are still seeking god

If you want people to see you.. you have not yet found god.

And if you want people to follow you.. you are getting lost from god.

When you claim any of these are the way for another.. intuitive ones know you are fooling yourself.

Never the less.. your search is a worthy one.

During your search, if you discover that you want to be free of the search.. you could be finding god.

Conversion and the devil inside

Conversion.. Why

This is the basic religion system function, it contains how and why any religion, politics or doctrine functions to promote energy or cash to the top of the system.

Why would any religious group need to convert people to its religion..

1. The financial reason. At the top.. the boss wants more energy/money..

2. The security reason.. For the congregation.. they are insecure.. they are afraid of life, to top it all their intuition knows the religion they follow is on the wrong track but.. oh i don't want to change my habit.. the congregation will want others to join to validate them in their habit and addictions. Its a human thing..

Opiates for the masses..

This all works very nicely for the boss

If you were secure in yourself you would not care what others thought about flying pigs or levitating lamas..

Insecurity is what the boss wants.. its how he stays the boss.. he is not required without it.. who needs to pay protection money when you dont need protection.. its why there is a devil, its why there is a bin laden and its even why governments are happy to keep drugs illegal

If someone is trying to sell you on them or their way, by telling you its dark out there without them, they are selling you the oldest con in the earths story book.

And its a drug.. you take a drug to avoid something that don't feel good. You go to a religion or doctrine for the same reason.. it helps you avoid the 'bad'.. its addictive. Remember, you take a drug to avoid something that don't feel good.. if you want to get to the root of all addiction this is it.. addiction is avoidance of something you don't yet know or 'think' you are OK with.

If you can start to look at, and allow your consciousness to experience and know your 'bad' or shadow.. you can start to drop your addiction.. and you will become free.. of doctrines.. and drugs.

So checkout the devil in you and learn to be OK with it.. Check out Bin laden too, you may be surprised who he works for.

Remember the PR focus for the boss will be the bad guy he needs to protect you from.

Stop the madness and look at the devil inside..

What is going to happen to cars

As oil value continues to rise cars are going to change.

We can quite rapidly know what they will they be like by making some obvious extrapolations.

Everything below is already in the works by one of the major manufacturers but none yet plan to put all the innovations together into one vehicle. This is only a matter of time and pressure from oil price.

* Most of the fuel in a car is used to move the car not the person in it. The biggest fuel savings come from making cars smaller and lighter. We will see smaller cars made of new lighter composite materials.

* Hybrid cars save fuel.. Cars will go hybrid

* Diesel is more efficient than petrol.. We will have diesel hybrids

* Hybrids need batteries and batteries are heavy. Batteries will be replaced by capacitors which come in at about one third of the weight. I expect the electricity storage unit will itself become a battery/capacitor hybrid.

So the future car is a small lightweight diesel hybrid with a capacitance unit for electricity storage. Future cars should spec in between 100 and 200 mpg depending on the models people go for.

I also expect there will also be a new class of vehicle, the human hybrid. A human hybrid is a human powered vehicle with an energy assist. We see these appearing today with bikes, scooters and skateboards that have small motors that the driver can engage.

..and we will have far far fewer of them on the roads.

a) Because its very energy intensive to make one hence expensive to buy. People should start sharing them.
b) Public transport will have got good. It has to.
c) Get a bike. It works.

Sun worship

"It has served us well, this myth of Christ."
Pope Leo X

It does seem that most modern religions are based on sun worship and astrology but they try to hide this fact. Here is an example.. Christianity in sun worship components.

The Son of God

We know the ancient peoples worshipped the sun, and no one on Earth could ever own the Sun. Such a heavenly body must belong to the unseen Creator of the universe. It became known as, not man's, but "God's Sun."

Obviously "God's Sun" was . . ."The Light Of The World." it was common in ancient Egypt to say that "God’s Sun was the 'Light of the World,' who gave His life for us".

Each night, mankind was forced to wait for the "Rising of The Sun" or "The resurrection of the Sun" to chase away the physical and mental insecurity brought on by the darkness.

The morning Sun focused man's attention on his heavenly dependence on Earth. It was the obvious symbol of divine benevolence from heaven. The Sun God, called 'Horus' in ancient Egypt moved across the sky in a chariot, its where we get Hours or Houruses from as the gradations of his movement and also where Set the god of night would win over him at Sun 'Set'.

Just as a small fire brought limited light into man's own little world of darkness, the "Great Fire of Day" served the whole Earth with its heavenly presence. It was said at Deut. 4:24 and Heb. 12:29 that the God of the Bible was a "Consuming Fire" in heaven.

Man was bound to a life on Earth, but the sky was the abode of God's Sun. He resides "up there" in. . . "Heaven."

Man saw in his male offspring his own image and likeness, and his own existence as a father was proved by the person of his son.  "God's Sun" was a visible representative of the unseen Creator in heaven. It was said, "When you have seen the Son, you have seen the Father." Or "The Father is glorified in His Son."

In ancient Egypt, the Sun was pictured with wings. In Mal 4:2, the God of Heaven is described as the "Sun of Righteousness with healing in His wings." Then in the New Testament in Matt. 23:37 and Luke 13:34, we see God's Son wanting to gather all under "His wings."

The Devil

Since harm lurked in the dark of night, evil or harmful deeds were naturally the "Works of Darkness." And of course the evil of night was ruled over by none other than . . . "The Prince of Darkness." Evil is of the Dark, the “Dark-Evil" or the "D Evil"

The Cross

Man kept track of times and seasons by the movement of the Sun - daily, monthly, yearly. For this, the sundial was used. Not only the daily movement of the Sun was tracked on the round dial, but the whole year was charted on a round calendar dial.

Since the Earth has four different seasons, all the same and equal (in time) each year, the round calendar was divided into four equal parts. This represented the complete story of the life of "God's Sun."

To represent the seasons on the circular yearly calendar, you put a vertical line down the middle, cutting the circle in half - one end being the point of the winter solstice; the other end the summer solstice. Then another horizontal line (crossing the first one) adds the spring equinox and the autumn equinox.

This is called "The Cross of the Zodiac."

The movements of the suns life are on the cross, so

The life of God's "Sun" is on "the Cross."

This is why you so often see the round circle of the Sun on the crosses of Christian churches. They are showing you zodiacal crosses, infact they are showing you sun calendars.

Death and Resurection

On December 22, the Sun, going south, reaches its lowest point in the sky (our winter solstice). It was often described, since the days have the longest darkness of the year, as the sun's descent into Hell where he was subjected to the darkness, or the dark-evil, the D-evil.

From the 22nd the sun stops moving for the next three days. (the sunrise is at exactly the same place as depicted on a the zodiacal cross) The sun has died on the cross.

On December 25th, the sun starts its motion northward. On December 25th the sun is “Born Again.”

December 25th was the ancient Roman celebration of Sol Invictus-the Sun Unconquered. So Roman Christianity celebrates the birthday of the Sun on this date.. The full return of the sun happens at the vernal equinox when days become longer than nights. This is Easter. Christians still celebrate Easter at a sun rise service.

Its sun worship !

Well some moon too. Queen Semiramis of Babylon came down from the moon in a giant moon egg that fell into the Euphrates River at the time of the first full moon after the spring equinox. She was later called Ishtar and its why we eat eggs on Easter to celebrate her reign. Her son was nimrod who she married and was later called Baal the god of the Sun. The worship of this light is what Lucifer or Lucius the god of light is all about. Its funny how Christianity is actually a Luciferian cult.

drunkonauts

Seems to be a thing today about drunk NASA astronauts.

>>>
Aviation Week & Space Technology reported on its Web site that a special panel studying astronaut health found that on two occasions, astronauts were allowed to fly after flight surgeons and other astronauts warned they were so drunk they posed a safety risk.

The independent panel also found "heavy use of alcohol" before launch — within the standard 12-hour "bottle-to-throttle" rule, the magazine reported.

I can't see why you would want to drink before you sat in a massive rocket that was about to to be shot into space.

fear holding on to you

It seems that the extent of ones fear.. can determine how much we will hold onto another external person or thing.

Some hold onto dogma
Some hold onto lovers
Some hold onto teachers
Some hold onto possessions

But all these things will change.. and in fact can not be held beyond their sell by date.

Can you hold onto to anything ?

Nothing in the material world is constant and lasting, so if you are after practical things in life, other that just dreams, the answer is no.

If ease in life is something you desire, practicing letting go would be a good thing.

If you let go of everything.. what you are left with is you.

Were you looking for something important ?

Make feeling OK

The feelings you have are who you are
making them 'bad' takes you so far from power

its all just a program you run in your mind
that feeling some feeling's a terrible bind

outside this program is a new kingdom
there you can find your self living in freedom

How do I do this you say angrily
what I think about feelings is certianly me

Well maybe its not, what you think is a plot
it lays in the depths of your unconscious lot

Just make it OK, its a choice in the play
you may find you'r not plot but the whole lot

Your not what you think about what you feel
but you are what you feel and you choose what to think

Choose what to think about what you feel
to shift your seeing to the choice of your being

Life can unfold in a new way for your play
go back to basics and Make feeling OK

National Health

We are in a bit of a state about health.

As a society we are still happy with our bliss of ignorance. Not for that much longer.

The health systems we have established are dysfunctional. At least they don't function as we intend them to because they have no design. The are no architects of the system and the people who have been appointed to improve things can not articulate the problem from a useful perspective so it can not be 'fixed'.

The dysfunction:

A practitioner of the present system of health will struggle to define health. If you cant define health, you cant be practicing it in any useful way.

This is obviously true by inspection. We have a system that is visibly not working. Over the last 100 years problems like the rate of cancer and more recently diabetes and obesity have continually increased. One of the top five killers of people is the health system itself, with 'medical error'.

So we have built a colossal medical system of 'health' but we cant define it so no wonder it doesn't work, no one can define what 'works' means. There is no way of measuring success.

This is why governments tasked with fixing the issue will keep changing the way we measure success. Its the only way to pretend in the short term that they have improved something. But in reality they have no hope of actually improving 'health' unless it can be defined.

This is where we need to start.

There is only one useful definition of health i can think of and that is how little you need another to be OK. For example if you need a machine and a team of technicians around you 24/7 to survive i would say you are not healthy.

In this respect health is a measure of your independence from external services.

This simply leads to measuring success of a health system by how little one needs it, which is obviously the right answer. If hospitals helped you stay out of hospital and off drugs they would be better hospitals.

In reality we don't get this result because we have setup the system backward. We have setup a national sickness system rather than a national health system.

Here is how, and it all comes from the way we pay the money. In the system we have, the more people are sick, the more we pay the money to the system. The more drugs people take the more money the drug company gets. This naturally leads to companies supplying services that increase revenue which in turn will be the services that require the most dependence.

So its easy to fix.

Just start measuring the level of independence of people from the system and pay the system by how much it promotes this independence.

That could then be called a national health system.

"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease."

Why Consumerism Wins

Religions as I defined them (in god and science series) will compete with each other.

The more followers of a religion the more power it has. It is in the interest of a religion to take people from other religions... and convert them. This can often be measured financially as people pay their religion 'donations'.

We now have a new religion that beats other religions. Consumerism. It has the world of religion shaking because Consumerism has a superior viral theology. You see if the goal of a religion is to have followers it is important that the theology is viral. The theology 'sticks' to people and they want to go with it. The better the stickiness the easier it is to convert people to your way.

Now most traditional religions got their stickiness from finding some cool spiritual guy who talked deep sense to base themselves on. Then they could say if you go with this religion you get some of what that guy got, go with us.

Consumerism is way stickier than that. The thing that consumerism has is adaptability. It can constantly revise itself and even compete within itself and that's just fine for consumerism. This works because it utilises a competitive market capitalist model. Traditional religions have no hope.

Consumerism has the ideal and unique edge of super fast adaptability through capitalist competition. If Nike stops being 'sticky' and looses support they get a new add campaign and change, if they don't change fast enough Adidas just gets more of the Nike followers and so on.

So consumerisms first innovation to stickiness is adaptability.

The second innovation comes from the ability to refine and combine its internal dogma. This allows for super targeted focus on specific demographic groups without upsetting the overall theology.

Old style religion is internally rigid; it can’t change a small part of its theology without the whole taking note. For example, look at the issues with women priests, this causes the religion to divide from the top as a decision has to be made at the top about whether this is ‘allowed’ by the overall doctrine.

But consumerism strips away the need for any command and control structure to the overall dogma. Each brand is independent and can target its chosen demographic, these brands can compete with each other to expand their demographics and that just all OK with the overall concept of consumerism.

In consumerism any one follower can stay with multi facets of consumerism and still be OK. That is way beyond traditional religion. You mean you can wear Nike and eat at McDonald’s!

So the second stickiness innovation is the peer based design of consumerism. There is no command structure needed. The overall dogma is massively simplified to just the concept ‘consumerism’ there is no other thing you need to believe in. All that has to be provided for it to work in a society is a legal framework to protect brand IP along with a capitalist commercial model. Both of which the world pretty much holds as god anyway.

All this is revolutionary in design and i don't believe old style religions have any hope against the superior system of social control.

Consumerism will lay waste to all other religions as it takes its course. Look how far it has got in 50 years! and its got a fair way still to run. It will keep adapting to do what it does better and better.

This is great!

We have created a new viral religion that destroys all other religions.

Why is it great?

Because it begins to show people the hole that was always there. Consumerism is stripping away the pseudo security that religions pretended to provide society!

But. There is one thing that consumerism does worse than traditional religion and that is depth. It is even shallower than traditional religion.

So people see their insecurities clearer. There is a positive side to this, it forces people to face healing themselves for real on a deeper level.

This is a bit traumatic for people and society. But its healing none the less.

Hang in there. It’s a ride. The virus is very active today and it’s doing its thing all over the planet.

Once people are secure in themselves you can’t persuade them to go to war.

Da Vinci Code WMD

The Da Vinci Code movie seems to be following the phenomena of the book, its big. Why and what is the relevance of it ?

The story cuts through to the core of our western belief system, established by our historical heavyweight of belief system perveyors the catholic church. Holywood, the contender of belief system perveyors is offering fun alternatives.

In reality not much of the story can be 'proven' historically, not so disimilar to the original then.

For me a good angle is who's story is older and more original, you cant 'prove' either are true anyway.

The most interesting historical fact in there is the 'Mary Magdalene was not a prostitute' verified by the recent findings in what are called the gnostic gospels. In particular the gospel atributed to Mary showing that she must certianly have held some higher rank.

The real issue is one of church credability. They changed the story to sute their ends. You cant have a male dominated priesthood and hence society if you got females of rank in your core cultural story. You could say they have Mary the mother of Jesus, But you cant call her a real female, she is a unatainable sexless ideal that can still procreate, no woman can atain this withouth complete denial of their true nature and even then they cant have kids.

The church sold story of the two Marys dysfunctionaly splits the human female architype. The sexless is evelated and the sexual is denigrated. When the fundamanetal archetype of woman is broken apart in this way there is no power in womanhood in society. This is the perfect pitch for keeping a race in subjugation. And it has worked for two thousand years.

For me this is the WMD of the Da Vinci Code. The part that is sending the shockwaves through our cultural story and forcing it to be reevaluated. Similar to the shockwaves caused by the realisitaion that we were lied to about WMD in iraq, people everywhere are beginning to realise at some level they were lied to by the church. You may say you don’t go to church and don’t care, but if you live in the western world your culture has been formed by this view like it or not. A change like this in the underpinnings of the core western cultural story is sisemic none the less.

Two things are happening:

1. There is an ongoing slide toward trusting no organisation, people are realising they all can lie for their own interest. This great news because its true, people need to think for themselves.

2. The church purveyed and established societal view of the feminine is crumbling, this is making way for a complete re-evaluation of the role of feminine is society. Extremes are likely to emerge as the pendulum is now free to swing again as it finds its new equilibrium. New and ancient feminine archetypes will compete with each other and vie for recognition in society in some way. The male (yang) archetype will feel threatened as it has been top heavy. Over the coming years I expect this to manifest tangibly in traditional male dominated organisations such as the church, the medical elite, the scientific elite and male dominated government.
